BIO – Lenita

I am an Abstract Geometry artist from New Zealand. My past 35 years having lived in Bali, Indonesia. About 3 years ago I was indroduced to art through deciding to do something creative for myself…it called to me.

It was a very turbulent time in my life. I intuitively began to create my first Mandalas and then Yantras. My mind opened to the realm of kaleidoscopic play of colours, that one can express on paper. Now it has became my passion and I enjoy the process immensely.

Inspiration! What inspires my heart? All of the universe and beyond our cosmic realm as we understand it. The words of great spiritual teachers, ordinary people with incrediable life stories, nature, energy of quartz crystals placed around my pieces when working in forms of shapes and symbols.

Travelling to India, Thailand and Indonesia…the mysterious SE Asian countries inspired a greater awareness outside of myself, confirming our never ending connectness to each other. I am self taught, individualism is my goal. Rediscovering the feminine wisdom art yantra/mandala from, past ancient cultures are what influences my work. Colour plays an important part as it activates and opens the chakras to which these art pieces resonate and the ancient sacred geometry plays an integral part in opening our dimensional doorways to other realms of existence.

I use Prisma Pencils, gold/silver acrylics, indian inks on indonesian rice paper. Pencils allow me to draw in greater detail and complex constructions with its symbolic content. In my drawing sessions, meditation and music allows my state of mind to connect with the oneness of all existence and with that intent of inspiring benefical reactions within the viewer…awakening their own love, light and magical visions.
